NordYrk is a Nordic research network on vocational education and training. The participating countries are Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
The network is important to strengthen the research base of the field and to promote cooperation and knowledge development on vocational issues in the Nordic countries. As you will see from these web pages, some information is in English, and some in a Scandinavian language. A yearly conference is organized, visited by researchers, teacher educators for vocational teacher training students, and actors in the field.
The NordYrk 2021 conference will be hosted by Linköping University, Sweden, June 7–9. Deadline for submission of abstract is January 31, 2021. The conference will, if possible, take place at one of the campuses in either Linköping or Norrköping. If the situation, due to the corona-pandemic, will make it impossible to meet in Sweden, the conference will be organized as a digital conference. More information will come at the conference page.
Due to the corona-pandemic, the NordYrk 2020 conference was unfortunately cancelled.
The 2020 conference theme will be part of the next year’s conference. If you have submitted an abstract that was accepted for the NordYrk 2020 conference you are preapproved for participation with your abstract at the 2021 conference.
The 2019 conference was hosted by Arcada UAS– Arcada University of Applied Sciences.
The 2018 conference was hosted by OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University (previously Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences).
Dalarna University was the host of the conference in 2017.
The Nordic Journal of Vocational Education and Training (NJVET) is published on behalf of NordYrk.
